Select SongsSongs from the main menu to open the window.

How to upload PDF files

The app allows you to upload PDF files from local storage, external memory, or cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox.

To upload PDF files, follow these steps:

  1. From the Songs screen, tap the Add PDF file (Add PDF file) button in the top toolbar to start uploading.
  2. If categories are enabled, choose the category to assign the PDFs to in the dialog that appears.
  3. Select the source location of the PDFs (in this example, they are on Google Drive).
  4. To select multiple PDFs, long-press the first file to enable multiple selection, then select the others.
  5. When done, tap Select or Open depending on your Android version.
  6. Wait for the upload to complete: each file will be automatically linked to a new song and ready for viewing.

How to edit a song

You can edit a song in just a few steps. Follow this procedure to complete the operation easily:

  1. From the Songs screen, long-press the song you want to edit.
  2. Tap the Edit song (Edit) button in the top toolbar.
  3. The edit window will appear, where you can update the category, title, author, key, BPM, duration, notes, and associated PDF file.
Managing the associated PDF

You can manage or change the PDF associated with a song directly from the edit window. The song’s indicator light shows its status:

  • Green light — the song has an associated PDF.
  • Red light — the song does not have an associated PDF.

You can also perform the following actions:

  1. Tap View PDF (View PDF) to open the associated PDF.
  2. Tap Remove PDF (Remove PDF) to detach the PDF from the song.
  3. Tap Associate PDF (Associate PDF) to link a new PDF to the song.

After editing the song or updating the PDF file, remember to tap the Save song (Save) button in the top toolbar to confirm the changes.

The changes will be applied immediately and visible in the song list.

How to add one or more songs to a setlist

You can add one or more songs to a setlist in just a few steps. Follow this procedure to complete the process easily:

  1. From the Songs screen, select the song or songs to add to a setlist. To enable multiple selection, long-press the first song, then select the others.
  2. Once selected, tap the Add to setlist (Add to setlist) button in the top toolbar.
  3. In the dialog that appears, choose the setlist to add the songs to, or create a new one, then confirm.
  4. After confirming, the setlist will update to show the newly added songs.

The songs are now linked to the setlist and ready to be played.

How to create a setlist

To create a setlist, follow these steps:

  1. From the Setlists screen, tap the Add setlist (Add setlist) button in the top toolbar to create and display a new setlist.
  2. In the Setlist screen, enter the setlist name and any optional notes.
  3. Tap the Save song (Save) button in the top toolbar to confirm your changes.

How to edit, duplicate, or delete a setlist

To edit, duplicate, or delete a setlist, follow these steps:

  1. From the Setlists screen, select the desired setlist by performing a long press to open the contextual menu.
  2. From the menu that appears, choose the action you want to perform: Edit, Duplicate, or Delete.

How to add one or more songs to a setlist

You can add one or more songs to a setlist in just a few steps. Follow this procedure:

  1. From the Setlists screen, tap the one you want to add songs to.
  2. In the Setlist screen, tap the Add songs (Add songs) button in the top toolbar.
  3. The Songs screen will appear.
  4. Tap the songs you want to include in the setlist.
  5. When finished, tap the Add selected songs (Add selected songs) button, which also shows the number of selected songs, to confirm the operation.
  6. The songs will be linked to the setlist and ready to play.

How to reorder songs in a setlist

You can easily reorder the songs in a setlist by dragging them. Follow these steps:

  1. From the Setlists screen, tap the setlist whose song order you want to change.
  2. In the Setlist screen, tap the Unlock (Unlock) button in the top toolbar.
  3. The songs will now be unlocked and ready to be dragged.
  4. To move a song, perform a long press on the song you want to move, drag it to the desired position, and release it. The position numbers will update automatically. Repeat for all the songs you want to reorder.
  5. When finished, tap the Lock (Lock) button in the top toolbar to confirm the new order.
  6. The songs will now appear in the new order and be ready to play.

CategoriesCategories

Select CategoriesCategories from the main menu to open the section.

Categories help you keep your songs organized within the app. You can use them to group songs by music genre, event type, or band — if you play in more than one group. This way, you can easily filter songs, quickly find what you need, and create targeted setlists for every occasion. If you don’t need categories, you can disable them in the app settings.

How to create a category

To create a category, follow these steps:

  1. From the Categories screen, tap the New category (New category) button in the top toolbar to create a new category.
  2. On the New Category screen, enter the category name and any notes if needed.
  3. Tap the Color (Color) icon next to the name field to choose the category color.
  4. Tap the Save category (Save) button in the top toolbar to confirm your changes.

How to edit a category

To edit a category, follow these steps:

  1. From the Categories screen, tap the category you want to edit.
  2. On the Edit Category screen, make the desired changes.
  3. Tap the Save category (Save) button in the top toolbar to confirm your changes.

How to delete a category

To delete a category, follow these steps:

  1. From the Categories screen, tap the category you want to delete.
  2. Tap the More options button in the top toolbar and select Delete.
  3. Confirm the operation to delete the category.
Note: if the category contains songs, they will be set as uncategorized.

PDF Viewer

How to navigate pages using manual gestures

The viewer allows you to move between pages using on-screen gestures and to zoom in and out of PDFs.

Vertical mode:
  • Tap the upper half of the screen to go to the previous page.
  • Tap the lower half of the screen to go to the next page.
Horizontal mode:
  • Tap the left half of the screen to go to the previous page.
  • Tap the right half of the screen to go to the next page.

When you reach the beginning or end of a song, the viewer allows you to jump to the previous or next song, respectively.

You can also use the swipe gesture to scroll through the pages of a song. To move between songs, however, you must use the tap gesture.

Note: the manual controls described here refer to on-screen gestures. You can also navigate between pages using Bluetooth page-turn pedals or other compatible devices.
Zoom:
  • Double-tap quickly on the screen to zoom in or out.
  • Use the pinch gesture with two fingers spreading apart or pinching together to manually adjust the zoom level.

How to enable the quick scroll handle

The quick scroll handle allows you to move rapidly through PDFs with many pages. You can enable it from the page settings window.

  1. Perform a long press anywhere on the page to open the settings window.
  2. Toggle the Swipe quick scroll handle switch.
  3. You can now drag the handle to scroll quickly between pages.

How to set the display mode

You can switch between light and dark display modes to reduce eye strain and adapt reading to your lighting conditions.

  1. Perform a long press anywhere on the page to open the settings window.
  2. Toggle the Dark mode dark mode switch to enable or disable it.
Note: this setting is independent of the app’s overall theme. You can use light or dark mode even if the app theme is set differently.

How to add annotations to PDFs

The app uses the Xodo application to manage PDF annotations. Xodo can be used for free with its basic annotation features.

To add annotations to a PDF, follow these steps:

  1. Perform a long press anywhere on the page to open the settings window.
  2. Select Annotations Annotate on PDF.
    Note: if the Xodo app is not installed on your device, a warning will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions to install it and continue.
  3. Add or edit annotations as needed.
  4. To exit annotation mode, press the device’s back button.
Note: annotations are added using Xodo, and all changes are saved directly to the displayed PDF.

How to back up your data

The backup feature allows you to save the app’s data so it can be restored later or on another device.

  1. Open the Settings section.
  2. Select Data backup.
  3. Choose the location where you want to save the backup file (internal storage, external storage, or a compatible cloud service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
  4. Confirm the operation and wait for the saving process to complete.
Note: the backup file contains all data, including PDF files.

How to restore data from a backup

To restore previously saved data:

  1. Open the Settings section.
  2. Select Data restore.
  3. Choose the previously saved backup file.
  4. Confirm to start the restore process and wait for it to complete.
Note: when the operation is complete, the app will restart automatically.
